Any issue that wants to offer its crypto assets in the union must publish a white paper. These documents do not follow any rules and will often not give investors a clear overview of the risks. Things become more complex if the issue or wants to issue a crypto asset that is a stable coin. If such stable coins reaches certain size, they can be determined significant by the European banking authority.
