Hagin: I just think he's saying that there's no point in calling anything a social construction unless you think it's counterintuitive. Unless you're trying to say it could have been otherwise, I'm saying that the looping effect could occur even if the representation couldn't have been otherwise. It sounds like you're not disagreeing with me. No, but I don't think I'm disagreeing with hacking either. So I just don't think he explores this horn of the dilemma.
