The Historical Bias of CBO's Debt Forecasts
CBO's government spending forecasts are typically about 10% too low when forecasting 10 years out into the future. CBO is predicting that come 2030, the federal debt will stand at about $38 trillion. We're at 27 trillion now. If you adjust their debt projections, given their historical bias, what you find is that come 2030,. the federal Debt will actually be over 90 trillion.
