The Real Holy Grail From the Last Supper
There are some literary references in the early romances that provide some basis for suspecting that the templars were connected to the legend of the grail. The cathars, the reallythere's just no reason at all to thinkthat there's any relationship there. And in fact, theologically they're miles apart. But basically, people in the mid twentieth century started stringing together these sort of associations of mystery, secrecy and lost secret societies. They came up with madcap theories that the grail was hidden at monseg ur in france, or something like that.
