How to Reduce the Price Pressure on Olive Oil
There's a combination of factors this disease being one of them which has led to these price rises partly it's what has had an effect on all food prices. The areas where most of the world's olives are grown around the southern Mediterranean had very very hot dry summer last year that led to a much lower harvest than expected. So combined with the pressure of climate there is a sense that the price pressure on olive oil is only going to go in one direction over the next few years.
