The book is set entirely in Singapore. And it features entirely Southeast Asian cast of characters. The first draft took three months, and I had to dig myself out of it. It's actually about a working class woman from a very ordinary, have even low income background. Her dream job is to work at a high society magazine. She realizes that the best way to get onto the radar of the people who work at a magazine is to be a socialite.
