Netanyahu's Coalition Is Trying to Do to the Courts
The Israeli government is trying to change the way judges are nominated and selected. The courts have been seen as a sort of enemy for about 100 years in Israel. Netanyahu's coalition partners, some of whom he has on his team, see it as a big issue that must be resolved before they can get into office. This legislation hasn't received very much support but could end up becoming law.
