Brother Stephen Robinson walked us through a fascinating activity that I'll never forget. He said, let's turn to the topical guide and look up the word earn. And guess what? Deserve isn't in the topical guide. It's not a scriptural word. There's not a list of things we need to do to deserve heaven. So then he said, oh, let's try the word merit because that's aScriptural word that we will find. Man could not merit anything of himself. If we get into heaven, it's because we've relied holy upon the merits of he who is mighty to save even the Holy Messiah.
