She discovered nerve growth factor in 1952 and it really, the whole field exploded after this first discovery. She was born into a Jewish family and did a lot of her work or was starting out in her work in Fascist Italy. But she had a huge difficulty getting an education as women were not encouraged to have a career at the time. And I think what's important about her, well, she lived a long time, 103 years, definite longevity award there but that was more down to luck than anything else,.
