How to Solve a Problem

There are three things that I'm analyzing problem solving into. Initial state, goal state and operators that can transform one state into another state. You see, I'm a general problem solver. I don't want to find just any solution. Another ways I can make lunch for myself is to burn down my house. It will cook my food. That's what it is to solve a problem. And this is called the problem space or sometimes called the search space. This is where all of the powerful insight of Newell and Simon's work comes out because once we start to pay attention to properties of this search space we can see how profound this idea actually turns out to be.
