Do our DOGS Really Love Us?

Tony Robinson's Cunningcast

CHAPTER

The Evolution of Dogs

For a very long time dogs were seen like other animals as being primarily servants to humans or meat. For Western Europeans at least you didn't eat your dogs but they were supposed to be workers for you and you could care for them. Their role in society was to serve you and to work for you. The thing that I think is really fascinating is the way in which we've transformed that view of dogs so that now that dog is just a worker would be seen as not fully understanding dogs. Ingrid tell us about your dog if you have one.
