Is There a Trade Down Cycle?
We haven't seen that sort of move in 40 years. It's a great way to think about how investors have all sorts in public and private markets. They just got lulled into this zero rate environment, easy monetary policy. And until they got smacked in the face, no one took it particularly seriously. I think what's happening right now is actually weirdly good for the economy.
