How Does a Good Voter Interview Work?
When you identify yourselves and your colleages as newyork times reporters, it does that have a distorting effect on how people will speak to you? It does initially, but if you're good at your job, you can power through it. We are talking to a lot of different types of voters so that some of our listeners get a sense of how people have crossed the country are feeling. I'm not expecting a whole lot from this conversation, but i'll give it a shot. You know, i feel like all those pieces all matter. And to me, what a good voter interview does is actually t past that initial thing.
