The French Revolution in 1792

In 1792 the French Revolution was actually a secondary concern for most of the major powers. Poland's disintegrating central government created a massive power vacuum in Eastern Europe. Prussia, Austria and Russia stepped into the vacuum to seize Polish territory. This has gone down in history as the second partition of Poland. The events in Poland were generally considered to be the most important geopolitical events in Europe.
