Design cryptonite is oversimplifying and trying to solve problems by just defining them out of existence. Sometimes you can just say, well, maybe the elegant solution of this problem is to just do nothing or be OK with things as they are. It's really tempting to go for shortcuts. My design crypts tonight are some of those shortcuts, like just making things really, really super simple,. Really solving strongly for one particular use case in the desire to just get on with the next thing.
