The Influence of Danny Kahneman and Bill Urey on Negotiation
Danny Kahneman helped us understand that there's no such thing as rational human beings. Bill Urey laid out a very intellectual, rational structure for the entire negotiation process. Amos Tversky hit it on the head with prospect theory. When I kind of mash those things together with my hostage negotiation experience and come up with this framework, I think we've got some new ideas that nobody ever talked about before.
