The Zagging and Zagging Model of Moonlighting
For some people, moonlighting actually becomes a bit of their on ramp to another model. Maybe the good enough day job pays for the moonlighting project and that's what brings you joy. My best friend was a middle school science teacher for a decade and one day woke up and said, I really wanted to be a doctor. And at 33, she went to medical school and is now graduating to become an OB guy in her 40s. Like a zig and a zag, but it was something that she really cared about and it gave her an opportunity to go in that direction.
