It's the personification through natural language that I think is grabbing all of us because otherwise I cannot figure out why this is even all that interesting. It's not as good as Google search. It doesn't give actual info. So I really think it's just kind of weird fun. Like here's a computer talking to me feeling. But otherwise I don't get it. And then want to get more information and you type in a second question. The search engine doesn't know you typed in the first question. There's no relationship between the first question and the second question. It's just another question and then another question.

In 2023, it seems like every other week has seen a new AI tool pop up and have its 15 minutes of fame. From image generation to chat functions and voice replication, the public eye has never been more fully focused on artificial intelligence.

Is the latest wave of machine learning composed of actual breakthroughs, or have users been fooled by elaborate systems of smoke and mirrors?
