The Myth of Rome and the Seizure of the Sabine Women
The rape of the sabbine women is said to have happened after the establishment of the asylum because the asylum only attracted males. Romulus creates this situation where he can seize women from the surrounding communities. I think as well do we have archaeological evidence for the sabbines at all oh that's a such a good question and it's so impossible to answer basically. The sabbine material culture is blending really to Latin material culture. It would be lovely to find an archaeological burial of a sabbine like numeral or someone in Rome but we simply wouldn't recognize them as distinctively different okay.
