The Australian Institute's Analysis of Inflation
All these warnings of this is going to be a wage price spiral. There was headlines everywhere. So the Australian Institute did decide to take a look at the data and see where inflation was coming from. We saw that profits and prices were rising a lot faster than wages. But despite that, we were still either saying workers were causing inflation or workers better just take that cut in their real wages. Because that's essentially what happened.
