Cancel Culture?
To cancel means to shame, silence and cast out an individual as a way to make a larger political point. A cancellation most often starts with a social media campaign, usually, though not always, against, a well known person. It can end with that person losing their job or reputation. Books, films, t v shows and statues can also be cancelled. And this is the idea of a sort of yet ruling someone out of public life - it's called 'cancellation culture'
