Changing the Way We Think About Disease
The work has transformed how even clinicians look at disease onset. There is a severe upwards of 20 megabase regions of the genome, both on the X chromosome as well as autosomes where the 3D genome is completely destroyed. In our own more recent work, something that has 3D genome has brought about a transformation in how we think about disease would be paragelic syndrome. Because of those trans interactions, we were guided spatially to the locations on autosomes that are also somehow becoming completely unfolded.
