A Longitudinal Analysis of Malaria Infections
Investigators conducted a longitudinal analysis of documented malaria events to date in the Reach Study cohort. A total of 717 clinical malaria infections were documented over the course of nearly eight years. There were seven deaths from malaria over the treatment period, representing 1.2% of study participants. The only two variables that remained significant for higher risk of malaria were higher ANC and lower hemoglobin.
