A and a does treat narrator and haneda the two airports around Tokyo as the same airport in the sense that you can change between those airports even on a fully booked trip. There are no changes allowed in your destination once it's booked so the hold is how you get around that but there's actually an even better hold than the three-day hold that you request over the phone which is a waitlist hold.
