The U.S.'s Relationship With China

I think the aim of policy to where China should be is to ensure that Beijing is either unwilling or unable to overturn the regional and global order. I don't think that, for example, Chinese influence anywhere in the world would require an American response as if that needs to be vigorously opposed each and everywhere. And so I think making some of those distinctions and ultimately having a vision that other countries can understand and rally around will help us achieve our objective.
