The Importance of Human Conversation in Corporate HR
When I worked in organizations with sort of institutionalized HR, I actually found it much harder to get the sort of concise and clear answer from like the institutional HR than from one of these third parties. When you're paying someone specifically for this advice, they're much more likely and it's costing you something just to have the phone call with them. And so the incentives are appropriately aligned to make sure that you're getting advice that matters.
