"If you have the drive, and if you, you like, visualize it too when you're young," he says. "I've come back from injuries feeling like i've surfing better than i did before." The visualization part probably gets underrated quite a lot, according to him. 'You just look at stuff in a different way' He's had some radically different levels of success since turning pro.
