Huntington's Disease - What's Your Role in a Neuropsychology Clinic?
Cognition is often one of the first symptoms that changes with Huntington's disease. Neuropsychologists are involved in cognitive remediation and compensatory techniques to maintain them at work. In terms of behavioural changes towards the latest stage of the disease, usually non-pharmacological management is preferred. The National Disability Insurance Scheme provides financial support for people under the age of 65 which will maintain a good standard of living.
