The Problem With Data and How It Is Regulated
On the back end of your phone, data is being siphoned off in rather large quantities on a nanosecond basis. In authoritarian systems, particularly China, but we see similar frameworks in Russia and Iran, specific governments have access to that data on demand essentially. Now private companies in the US have access to all that information and we can have a conversation as well about how that may itself be problematic.
