The History of Computers
In the 80s, when I used email, the UUCP was kind of a main way of doing email. What you would do there is you would say, literally, the route that the email should follow. And it would be like, one machine would call the next machine and so on going down the line. But anyway, that whole mechanism of getting sort of automated dialing, of automation of dialing, led to a kind of automation, which is what was used for bomb computers in World War II.
