i've spoken about the irish summer salad before. It's a culinary phenomenon that's unique to ireland. One week a year, maybe two weeks if we're lucky, but generally, one week a year we get this spanish weather. The extreme heat combined with the anxiety of the sunshine causes us to shut down and refuse to cook normal dinners. Wwhen you're a child, you really fock and dread this. This is the double edged blade of now, when you're a fockin child. You can probably trust that i'm going to reject you, so therefore you can't love me. So youo'ld rather embrace the cold, sideways rain than tolerate
