The Bread of Life
In the Septuagint, the Greek translation of the Old Testament, it uses the exact same words. In Greek, it's the Ego and me. I am. Jesus really is doing something new in that very element. And to identify himself as the bread of life is it's taking up, in a way, the entire kind of prophetic and tradition of Israel.
