The Police Department Is in a Death Spirale Right Now
The Obama administration did a voluntary review of the Philadelphia police department and found that black and Hispanic cops were more likely than white cops to shoot a black suspect under what's known as threat misperception. "I'm agnostic on drug use, I'm possibly you know trying to grab the officer's gun," he said about Tyree Nichols' death. He says de-policing led to Memphis having such a high crime rate and reckless driving was a problem. 'We've had highway deaths or car crash deaths jump astronomically because we are also demonizing car stops,' he added.
