Theodosius' Edict to Rome

In the summer of 391, Theodosius decided that perhaps it was time for him to be leaving Milan. In Egypt, a fanatical bishop named Theophilus seized on the edict as an opportunity to destroy the five-century old Seropium of Alexandria.
