Is There a Correlation Between Creative Arts and ADHD?

Jay Parini: I want to talk a little bit more about ADHD because it's a topic that fascinates me. My question always seems to be a correlation between ADHD and those of us who are in the creative arts. Is there a correlation between the creative side or the right side of our brain and more of a preponderance for clinical ADHD? Grant: There is. If you don't have that creative outlet, like when one of my first jobs out of college, working as a graphic designer for an ultra conservative credit rating firm,. And I was on a Windows 286 system that kept crashing. Those are things which are excruciating to an ADHD person.
