The j v d has a likelihood ratio of five point one, but it's hard to assess just by looking at the neck. The other features that have pretty good positive likelihood ratios are ani cardiac murmur and legadema. When a chest x ray is shot early on in a patient who has flashd pulmonary dema, you can have a perfectly normal chest xray. So don't let that sway you the wrong way.
