The Nine Muses of Aphrodite
Gnostic and hermetic thinkers of the early Christian era understood that. In 1493 a man named Franchinos Gefurius published in a book titled Pratika Musice a drawing which tells us the whole classical iconographic story of the transformation of the soul. The central figure is the great serpent whose tail is Cerberus the three headed dog who guards the underworld Thalia is also the name of the ninth muse so she is both below Cerberus' head and she is also the central grace above her name.
