I tend to write funny stuff I don't think I'll always write funny stuff but everything I have so far has been funny stuff um and I think good comedy comes out of character. when you've got that initial idea then and you are like frantically writing down some of the early ideas that you've got with your post-it notes you do need to an idea of some of the main characters. for the Stranger Times there was again going back to that sitcom script I had the idea of the character that became Hannah in it who was a woman who just gone through a terrible life change.
