The james webb space telescope is designed to look at objects, the first objects that may have formed in the universe. And its sensitive to tha radiation, which is shifted compared to what it once was by a factor 15 to 20. We won't be able to image the first stars, but we'll be able toimage the first galaxies that formed with the james wept bases. It will also teach us about how galaies formed.
