My grandfather and his cousin decided that they were going to heed the call. The provisions they took with them was a brief case, a bottle of plum brandy and some sandwiches as fara a ta set. They found their way through hungary and then through the balkans and eventually to lebanon where they joined the exile army. And have all the papers, so you will see in book, this is all evidenced by archive material and documentation,. including his papers when he joined the foreign legions.
