I'm always trying to keep the pace to the point where you don't feel it too much. It's so fascinating the difference between different directors like Peter Weir shoots films really without as far as I can tell, I've never seen a storyboard. He's a very organic director, so when he arrives on location he won't stick to all the constraints of obliging yourself to do something a particular way. And then there's other directors who have no plan and shoot a wildly ridiculous amount of footage and coverage. If you need to do that, you are working on something pretty wretched.
