Doyouh: The strongest argument for staying was a humanitarian argument. It's not clear to me the security threat from afghanistan has increased, Doyouh says. He argues that once the united states began taking homeland security more seriously after september eleventh, it simply became much, much more difficult for any terrorist organization im to carry out anything approaching that kind of logistical operation on American soil.
