Steel Workers in the Ohio River
The impass in negotiations holds right through the contracts expiration on june thirtieth. Meanwhile, clay orders the mill closed and starts looking to bring in strike breakers. In response, an army of skilled and unskilled steel workers storm the mill. Clay will build his own army. 300 pinkerton men clamber into two large barges along the ohio river just north of pittsburg. Between them, they have 300 pistols, 250 winchester rifles and more than enough amo and food to lay siege.
