The Tudor Queen Catherine Parr

Catherine Parr has the trademark pale skin and light colored hair that were beloved by Renaissance philosophers and thinkers, as well as Henry the 8th himself. Renaissance and Tudor women were preferred to have very light complexions that showed a quote, balance of the humors. This one is dated to the quote, late 16th century, so I don't know what that means. That could be anything. It could be before her death or it could be after her death. But I like this portrait. She's wearing a red dress and a very jaunty feathered cap in this one. Looking likeHenry the 8th outfit if I'm being honest.
