Is There a Router Update?

The update is a router saying, here's some prefixes which i am able to rout too. Or here's somePrefs which i am no longer able to rout to. Up dates tell you that certain routes that you were not aware of before now exist or have gone away. And then that drives the routing algaritm, which will then eventually may apply up dates to the routing table.
