The Difference Between Time and Space

The way people think about time is based on how they think about space. To test the idea we need to find cultures that have different ways of thinking about space and see if they also have different Ways of Thinking About Time. So here's an example of a culture I had a chance to work with. These are the cooktire. They're an Aboriginal group in Australia. And what's cool about their language is they don't use words like left and right to divide up space. Instead everything is expressed in terms of north-south east and west. By everything I mean everything at all scales. It's just not something that we keep track of.
