The Rise of Intimacy Directors in Theater
Intimacy coordinators are the term for this job in theater. In TV, we don't use the word director because we're not directors and we're not in the DGA. Intimacy direction for theater has been around as long as early as 2007 or so. And what happened was that they were starting to this idea of intimacy coordination was starting to come up several months before October of 2017 when the Harvey Weinstein article came out.
