The only example i looked at of a third gender that was female to male in traditional societies really it really illustrates the point so what the fathafine do in sannawa is they can wear skirts. change your legal sex from female to male that does not change your position in any inheritance situation god damn it there's a whole life plan. When women are identifying in traditional societies as men they're doing so in a way that it's  to get out of some strictures on women and mostly women aren't allowed to get out of strictures on them.
