I didn't think about having a career at all. I had to adjust when I moved to the US because kids here have been bred to think about their careers through high school and college in a way that maybe I could take for granted. The stakes aren't as high in other countries compared to the US, which is mega rich but also massive gap between rich and poor. If you fail here, you can fail really hard.
