The Story of a Chimpanzee Snapping
A woman in Connecticut raised an adult chimpanzee. He was treated like a family member, almost like a brother son and then one day he just snapped. She had to give him a mug with his with his Xanax in it because he had been acting out. There's some theory as to why I didn't know this story but it fits with primate behavior which is that primates like dogs see themselves as in your family. But if you show weakness they will attack you.
